Biogas plant Ihlowerfehn with local heat net

 

The biogas plant supplies a village of 300 people with heat.

Since 2006 we have operated the biogas plant with 500 kW in Ihlowerfehn together with our customer Lenhard Fleßner. From the beginning a school and other public premises have been supplied by the biogas plant via a local heat pipeline with a length of 800 meters. At the beginning of March 2009 the "Nahwärme Ihlowerfehn eG" has been founded with 120 participants in order to connect approximately 180 households to the local heat net. The magazine top agrar reports in its current issue about this examplary project. You can download the PDF of this article here.
